Its Smoothie Sunday! I’ve been on a Peanut Butter kick lately, (a pregnant thing, I think) so I’ve been trying to fit it in anywhere I can. This ones a winner!
They key to making this extra creamy is to avoid ice cubes & instead freezing the banana. I always have bananas in the house & once they start to turn, I either whip up a batch of muffins, (recipe coming soon) or I slice them up & put them in the freezer for times like these.
Another ingredient I’ve had hanging out lately are medjool dates. They are usually seen in stores around the holidays, which gives you an idea of how long I’ve had them so I thought I’d better use them soon.
It all goes into the cup of my super amazing Magic Bullet NutriBullet 12-Piece High-Speed Blender/Mixer System. I add a cup & a half of Almond/Coconut blend milk & let it go for a couple of minutes. Smooth & creamy deliciousness. It really satisfies my peanut butter craving.
- 2 frozen ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 4 pitted dates
- 1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond/coconut milk blend
- Add everything in your blender & spin until creamy!
